DISASTER READY CONGREGATIONS
FAITH BASED ORGANIZATION WORKSHOP
Thursday October 17, 2019


The Geauga County Emergency Management Office along with the Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management and the United Methodist Church- Connecting Neighbors Initiative is sponsoring a  disaster ready workshop for the faith based community.

A 4-hour program intended for volunteers willing to inspire other congregants to minimize emergency/disaster outcomes which cause harm to people and property and to respond to neighbors in helpful, cooperative and caring ways on behalf of your House of Worship.  

This program incorporates knowledge and experience from dedicated volunteers who have served their neighbors on behalf of their House.  Community partners from your local public safety forces, the American Red Cross, National Disaster Interfaith Network, Public Health and your local Emergency Management Agency will also provide rich information. 

This program is for everyone, Houses of Worship leaders, Sunday school superintendent, lay leaders, mission coordinators, treasurers, finance, safety and security committee members, youth adult and youth representatives.

Module 3: Ready Response

THERE IS NO COST FOR THIS WORKSHOP.
Registration: 4:30 pm-5:00 am
Course Starts: 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm
