With the transformation to a Charter-form of county government, in 2011 the Cuyahoga County Department of Public Safety and Justice Services was established. The Department encompasses all divisions that previously existed under the County’s former Department of Justice Affairs.   In addition to descriptions of the Department’s various operations, programs and services, on this website you will also find information about emergency preparedness, trainings, citizen volunteers, current publications, grant announcements, public safety communications updates, and other valuable resources.

Cuyahoga County Department of Public Safety & Justice Services (PSJS) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) regarding E911 indoor localization to aid Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs)  to be able to dispatch emergency responders to the right location for the caller
